Service

Support 7 days a week and small repairs

Water heaters rarely fail on a Tuesday morning. The value of this service is measured on Sundays, bank holidays and the middle of August.

Someone answers, someone comes

During the stay, the guest has a number that is answered. Most messages are not breakdowns: a shutter whose crank cannot be found, a wifi code copied wrong, an induction hob that will not recognise a pan brought from home. A clear answer within minutes prevents a sour review at the end of the stay.

When it is a genuine incident, we come and inspect. A great deal is settled on the spot: a bulb, a seal, a cistern, a trap, a detector battery, a tripped breaker, a handle working loose, a remote, a water heater setting. That is the small maintenance, and it accounts for most of the calls.

Beyond that we call the tradesperson, open the door, stay for the intervention and report back. You approve the quote when the amount warrants it; in an emergency affecting safety or the continuation of the stay, we reach you before committing to anything.

Every incident is logged with its date, its cause and what was done. That record is what shows, at the end of the season, that the same tap has been repaired three times and would be better replaced.

FAQ

Questions about support

How far does small maintenance go?

It covers whatever can be fixed without a trade: bulbs, seals, traps, cisterns, batteries, resetting a breaker, ironmongery, settings. As soon as a plumber, an electrician or a heating engineer is needed, we coordinate the intervention but we do not carry it out.

Who pays for parts and tradespeople?

Supplies and outside interventions are yours, at cost and against receipts. We take no commission from tradespeople, which leaves us free to call whoever comes quickly rather than whoever pays back the most.

Can I keep my own tradespeople?

Yes, and it is even better when they already know the building or the installation. We call your contacts first and use ours only if nobody answers within a timeframe compatible with the stay in progress.

Do you come out at night?

The line stays reachable, and anything that stops a guest sleeping — a leak, no heating in winter, a jammed door — is dealt with straight away. Whatever can wait until morning without ruining the night is scheduled for the first workable slot.
