Welcome, check-in and check-out

This is the only moment your property has a face. A well-run arrival comes back word for word in the review left eight days later.

Keys of the flat handed to a smiling guest

Receive, explain, inspect

The arrival is prepared the day before: exact address and street door code, a check on the real landing or train time, and confirmation of the slot. A guest arriving at Saint-Charles two hours early with nobody at the end of the line starts their stay badly.

On site, keys are handed over in person whenever possible. We open up, show how the water heater, the shutters, the hob and the wifi work, point out where the bins are and which day they go out, and leave two or three addresses in the neighbourhood that beat the first results on a map app.

When the timing makes meeting impossible, arrival is self-service through a secure key box, with written and illustrated instructions sent in advance, and a line answered at the moment of arrival. It is a fallback, not the default.

A WELCOME GUIDE stays in the flat, in French and English: how the equipment works, the wifi code, the recycling rules and collection days, the building rules, the number to call if something goes wrong, and a page of local addresses — the bakery that opens early, the market, the tobacconist, the nearest metro stop. It is the document that halves the messages received during a stay.

On departure, the flat is checked room by room: general condition, linen inventory, equipment, forgotten belongings. Anything damaged is photographed and sent to you the same day, before the cleaning goes through and erases the evidence.

How an arrival unfolds

  1. 01

    The day before

Slot confirmed, detailed address, building code and a reachable number sent to the guest in their own language.

  2. 02

    The arrival

Welcome on site, keys handed over, walk-through of the flat and its equipment. The bilingual welcome guide stays on the table.

  3. 03

    The stay

A line stays open for questions or incidents, bypassing the platform messaging when the urgency calls for it.

  4. 04

    The departure

Keys collected, room-by-room inspection, linen inventory and a photographed report sent to the owner.

FAQ

Questions about the welcome

How late do you welcome guests?

Late arrivals are handled case by case and agreed when the stay is confirmed. When the hour goes beyond what is reasonable for a personal handover, the guest lets themselves in with the key box and we stay reachable until they are settled.

Do you speak English with guests?

Yes. The welcome, the written instructions and the messages during the stay are in French or English depending on the guest. It is essential in Marseille, where a large share of bookings comes from abroad.

What do you do with something left behind?

It is set aside, reported to the guest the same day and kept until they arrange collection. Postal return is possible at their cost. Nothing is thrown away without telling you first.

And if the guest leaves the flat in a bad state?

The inspection happens on departure, with dated photographs, before the cleaners go in. You receive the file the same day and we file the platform claim within its deadlines, which are short.
